You will receive samples straight to your home, giving you peace and time to mull over your decisions and ensure that an Andrew S. Johnson is the perfect fit for your environment.

Sharing the initials of both my father and my daughter, the SJ-23 carries a deeply personal significance. The number 23 references the day of my father’s birth and the year of my daughter’s birth, bridging two generations through a single piece of design.
Throughout my childhood, the armchair was always more than furniture; it was a place where memories were created. Sitting beside my father listening to The Beatles on the record player, gathering around during family celebrations as stories unfolded, or speaking to him on the telephone while he worked away in Germany. So many defining moments were anchored around a chair.
For me, a lounge chair represents legacy. It is a piece designed not only to be lived with, but to be cherished, remembered, and passed down through generations. Every creation is intended to hold moments of comfort, conversation, reflection, and connection.
There are moments in life that shape who we become. It is my hope that, within one of my creations, you too will create moments worth holding onto.

Unique plaques
The SJ-23 will feature three personalised plaques. Each one is a bespoke fit with colour, size and placement chosen by you.
Supercar inspiration
Using design language inspired by classic supercars, with bold striking lines cutting through the air, the SJ-23 has a dynamic visual balance with muscular presence. The surfaces are aerodynamic, strong arms tapered like wings to give a uniquely sculptural form, creating a feeling of movement even when stationary.
The rear section features an overhanging 150mm rear wing. This perfectly lines up with the smaller rear wing, giving the aesthetic continuity and creating a tapered illusion.
The arm is playfully built in to sections. This architectural element of the design allows for a 10mm chasm, forming an interesting design feature.
A bespoke build
The SJ-23 is built to order, taking around 5 months from an intial specification conversation to delivery. The build is split in to three main stages, these include intial conversation to explore expectations, following in to the bespoke specification option list. We will undertake a floor plan visit to ensure that delivery will be as smooth as possible. From this point the build will begin as you eagerly await delivery of your Andrew S. Johnson lounge chair.
Aluminium Frame
The frame of the SJ-23 armchair is professionally sprayed and coated with a lacquer to protect the paintwork.
